Sarah Miller – Solo Performance with KSO, March 3rd

Hello Cello Parents!

I would like to invite you to a performance coming up in which I will be performing the Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto in front of the Knoxville Symphony. As this is a concerto for 2 cellos, I am performing it alongside my colleague Adam Ayers, who some of you might know as another teacher at the Suzuki Academy! This performance is on March 3rd at 2:30 in the afternoon, in the Bijou Theater. Also on the program will be pieces by Rossini and Romero, and Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony.

Seeing your teachers perform in a professional setting is a great learning opportunity, and not only that, but it so happens that the first movement of the Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto appears in the Suzuki Method Book 8–meaning, that your child will also learn this very piece later on in their cello studies! So it is a great way to get excited about and visualize their own cello futures.

I encourage you to attend if you are able, and I will copy a link to the website/ticket information below. I believe there may also be a reception with snacks/drinks following the performance, either in the Bijou Theater lobby or more casually at my home–stay tuned for more info about that! I would love to see you there and introduce you to some of my KSO colleagues and family.
