Suzuki Early Childhood Education
18-week courses for children aged 0 to 4 years are $432 for each child and their parent. Late registrants will receive prorated tuition.
Monthly Tuition Rates
All tuitions include 4 private lessons and a monthly, level-appropriate 1 hour group class
- 30 minute lessons: $160/month
- 45 minute lessons: $210/month
- 60 minute lessons: $260/month
All students enrolling in private instrumental lessons at the KSA will need to pay a one-time $50 registration fee.
Yes! Training in reading music will begin very early in your child’s musical education. With the Suzuki method, your child will learn the first 2-3 books primarily by ear. They will begin the process of learning to read music, however, before they have finished with book 1.
As with language acquisition, the process is first aural and physical, and only later visual. Our approach at the KSA yield’s students who have an excellent instrumental foundation, beautiful sound, and fine music reading ability.
Dr. Suzuki said that you only need to practice on days that you eat. This is a humorous way of saying that daily practice is an absolute necessity. Equally important with home practice is daily listening to recordings of the Suzuki literature that your child is working on.
Yes. An essential part of the Suzuki Method is the Teacher-Parent-Child Triangle. Parents must be at lessons to observe and take notes as well as to gain their own understanding of the instrument so that they can help the child practice at home. In addition to taking notes, many parents and children find it valuable to take video of each lesson to review at home between lessons. Watching a lesson video at home for a few minutes is a powerful way to begin practice at the house.
