Our mission

Every child can learn.

KSA provides excellent musical instruction inspired and guided by the philosophies and approaches popularized by Shinichi Suzuki. Our string faculty are trained Suzuki teachers and are actively engaged in the pursuit of excellence in teaching.

What families can expect

Each child’s music lessons are a collaboration between teacher, parent, and child. Lessons combine a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere with a disciplined approach to listening, daily practice, review, and careful musical growth.

  • Weekly private lessons
  • Parent attendance and participation
  • Daily listening and home practice
  • Group classes and performances
  • Small, incremental steps supported with encouragement

Rooted in Knoxville

Students learn at First Church Knox, gather for group classes and workshops, perform in recitals, and share music at Knoxville festivals and community events. Private lessons are part of a community.
