Wisconsin native Adam Ayers joined the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra as a core section member in 2021. He began cello at a young age and earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, studying with Uri Vardi, and a master’s degree at Indiana University, studying with Peter Stumpf.
Adam has attended the Aspen Music Festival and Philadelphia International Music Festival and was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2016 to 2019 as a section and principal cellist. He has also performed with the Madison and Milwaukee symphony orchestras.
