Sarah Ringer began teaching Suzuki violin in 1999 at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga’s Cadek Conservatory. She completed teacher training through Suzuki Book 6, taught monthly group classes, directed a summer Suzuki violin camp, and built a studio of 45 students.
Sarah earned a master’s degree in violin performance with an emphasis in Suzuki pedagogy from the Hartt School, studying with Katie Lansdale and Teri Einfeldt. She maintained a private studio during graduate school and later taught for the Hartt School Community Division.
Before moving to Knoxville, Sarah taught violin, chamber music, music theory, and string techniques at Covenant College and Lee University. She has also served as a guest clinician at summer string programs in Tennessee and Tasmania, Australia.
Sarah is an active performer and has held positions with the Chattanooga Symphony and New Hampshire Philharmonic. She performs with the Knoxville Symphony and Oak Ridge Symphony and appears regularly in chamber-music concerts throughout the region.
