About this program

Listening, lessons, practice, and playing with others.

The original Suzuki instrument

Dr. Suzuki was a violinist, and his first students learned through daily listening, imitation, repetition, and encouragement. KSA violin students follow that same mother-tongue sequence: familiar music is learned by ear first, with reading introduced as musical fluency develops.

What lessons include

  • A weekly private lesson
  • Daily listening to professional recordings of the Suzuki repertoire
  • A parent who attends lessons and helps with practice at home
  • Group classes, recitals, and community performances

How to begin

  1. Contact KSA with your child’s age, experience, and scheduling needs.
  2. Talk with us about teacher fit and observe a lesson when possible.
  3. Begin with guidance on the right-sized violin and a practical home routine.
  • Private lessons · Weekly individual instruction with a KSA teacher.
  • Group classes · Level-appropriate group learning and shared repertoire.
  • Performances · Recitals and community performances when the student is ready.
